As part of the Britten-Pears Chamber Music Residency, Cristian Sandrin, Enyuan Khong and Charlotte Kaslin are invited to perform a showcase recital at the Jubilee Hall in Aldeburgh
Mozart’s trio is poignant and jubilant by turn, the tussle of dark and light eventually being resolved by an emphatically cheerful conclusion. Likewise, Lili Boulanger’s beautiful short piece evokes the breaking of dawn. And Mendelssohn’s first trio, ‘the master trio of our age’ according to Schumann, is a virtuoso work of great passion and richness.
